Overview
Ōnin Staffing is currently hiring a Machine Operator / Scale Operator for a facility in Franklin, VA. We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined candidate who is comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating equipment, monitoring facility operations, and assisting with basic troubleshooting when equipment issues arise. Knowledge of trucks is helpful but not required.
Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
- Operate the facility scale and accurately weigh trucks entering and exiting the facility.
- Operate and monitor machinery and equipment.
- Identify potential equipment or operational issues.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of machinery when needed.
- Maintain accurate information related to scale operations.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous machine operation, manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical experience preferred.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to identify basic equipment issues.
- Comfortable working around machinery and industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of trucks or truck operations is helpful but not required.
- Dependable and able to maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Must be available Monday–Friday and willing to work overtime and some Saturdays as required.
