Overview
Job Summary
We are currently hiring Machine Operators for a Temp-to-Hire opportunity in Chester, VA. The facility specializes in plastic manufacturing and production, where team members operate and monitor production equipment used to manufacture plastic products.
Machine Operators play an important role in keeping production running efficiently by operating machinery, monitoring production processes, performing quality checks, and ensuring products meet established standards. This is a fast-paced environment where teamwork, accountability, and attention to detail are important.
Schedule
- Wednesday: 6-hour shift
- Thursday – Saturday: 12-hour shifts
- Sunday – Tuesday: Off
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
- Monitor machines throughout the production process
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Identify and report equipment or production issues
- Load materials into equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow production schedules and work instructions
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Meet established production and quality goals
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Take accountability for assigned equipment and responsibilities
- Assist other team members and departments as needed
Skills and Experience
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 6 months of previous machine operating experience required
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Strong communication skills

- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
- Ability to work extended 12-hour shifts
