Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift

Overview

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a manufacturing facility in Minneapolis, MN. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, including PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Experience

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and input/output devices
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and equipment
  • Repair electrical components at the component level
  • Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders
  • Operate and maintain shop equipment including:
    • Lathes
    • Drill presses
    • Grinders
    • Band saws
    • Welders
    • Cutting torches
  • Research and source replacement parts and maintenance supplies
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Assist with inventory management of maintenance parts
  • Operate forklifts and hydraulic lift equipment as needed
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality standards
Qualifications

  • Technical School Degree, Associate Degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience with:
    • Electrical troubleshooting and repair
    • Mechanical maintenance
    • PLC troubleshooting and repair
    • Hydraulics and pneumatics
    • Welding and fabrication
    • Forklift operation
    • Industrial manufacturing equipment
    • Preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
