Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a manufacturing facility in Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving production equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
This position is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and input/output devices
- Install, modify, and upgrade equipment, circuits, and systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders
- Operate shop equipment including lathes, drill presses, grinders, band saws, welders, and cutting torches
- Research and order parts and supplies as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Assist with inventory management of maintenance parts
- Support plant safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Operate forklifts and hydraulic lifts when necessary
Qualifications
- Technical School Degree, Associate Degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with:
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Mechanical maintenance
- PLC troubleshooting and repair
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Welding and fabrication
- Forklift operation
- Industrial machinery and equipment maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
