Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist in the production of high-quality film products while monitoring quality standards, supporting production efficiency, and maintaining a safe work environment. The Extrusion Operator works closely with Production Supervisors, Process Technicians, and Maintenance personnel to ensure customer specifications, quality requirements, and production goals are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing standards.
- Assist in operating and monitoring extrusion equipment to produce film products that meet customer specifications.
- Perform visual inspections and quality checks on finished products.
- Accurately enter and review production and quality data.
- Complete required production documentation, line logs, and quality records.
- Ensure finished products are properly labeled, packaged, and prepared for shipment.
- Maintain adequate packaging and labeling supplies throughout the shift.
- Support housekeeping efforts and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with minor troubleshooting, preventative maintenance activities, and equipment upkeep.
- Work closely with supervisors, maintenance, and process teams to resolve production issues.
- Learn and perform line threading, winding procedures, core cutting, screen pack changes, and roll handling procedures.
- Participate in safety audits, quality audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with training new employees as needed.
- Complete required job task certifications and cross-training within established timelines.
- Operate material handling equipment after successful completion of company certification training.
Skills and Experience
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Preferred
- Previous manufacturing, extrusion, converting, or production experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift or material handling equipment experience.
- Experience working in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, FIFO, or continuous improvement environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and repetitive movements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and complete production tasks.
- Ability to work around moving machinery and production equipment.
