What You'll Do as a Facilities Maintenance Technician:
- Perform routine building maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks
- Secure the facility at the end of the day by locking doors, setting alarms, and addressing minor alarm system concerns
- Replace light bulbs and maintain facility lighting systems
- Change HVAC and water filters according to maintenance schedules
- Conduct routine inspections of facility systems and report concerns promptly
- Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs as needed
- Assist with monitoring HVAC and sprinkler systems and escalate issues when necessary
- Maintain restrooms through light cleaning and restocking of essential supplies
- Coordinate with outside contractors for repairs, inspections, and service appointments
- Complete minor repairs, adjustments, and general facility upkeep projects
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Document and communicate maintenance issues, equipment concerns, and safety hazards
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum of 1 year of maintenance, facilities, or building maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
- Experience using hand tools and performing general repair work
- Ability to work independently and complete routine tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility maintenance
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and outside vendors
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams
- Comfortable working in warehouse, office, and light industrial environments
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
