Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to inspect aerospace sheet metal parts and ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has experience using precision measuring tools, reading blueprints, and documenting inspection results. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this position.
Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.
- Use precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Identify defects and report quality concerns.
- Work with production and management to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain inspection equipment and calibration records.
- Assist with quality audits and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of quality control or inspection experience, preferably in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems or quality management software is a plus.
