What You'll Do as a Manufacturing Engineer:
- Design, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to support manufacturing operations and new product launches.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Analyze production data to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing performance.
- Design and develop fixtures, tooling, and production aids that improve safety and efficiency.
- Support new product introductions by ensuring manufacturing readiness and smooth production transitions.
- Recommend improvements that enhance product quality, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and training to production and assembly teams.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Two to five years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and mechanical assembly.
- Experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing documentation practices.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting equipment manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial assembly is preferred.
- Understanding of PLCs, pneumatic systems, and basic electrical systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, organization, and project management abilities.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, and use hands throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to safely navigate a production environment while maintaining attention to detail.
