What You'll Do as an Assembly Technician:
- Assemble industrial equipment and subassemblies using detailed work instructions and technical drawings.
- Install mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure quality workmanship.
- Perform equipment inspections and functional testing to verify proper operation before final approval.
- Identify and communicate material shortages, quality concerns, or assembly issues to the production team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established safety procedures.
- Assist with troubleshooting, adjustments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support other production areas as needed to help meet manufacturing goals.
- Follow quality standards, work instructions, and company procedures throughout the assembly process.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to three years of manufacturing, mechanical assembly, industrial production, or maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, assembly drawings, and basic wiring diagrams.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment.
- Forklift experience is a plus or willingness to become certified.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and work in a manufacturing environment requiring standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive movement.
