Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Machine Set‑Up Operator to produce high‑precision custom components using multi‑axis Swiss‑style CNC equipment. You will be responsible for machine operation, in‑process inspection, tooling adjustments, and maintaining a safe, clean workstation.
What You’ll Do
- Operate multiple Swiss‑style CNC machines
- Inspect parts using precision gauges and visual checks
- Make offsets, change tooling, maintain fluids
- Load/operate bar feeders and verify bar stock
- Read blueprints & GD&T; confirm correct materials
- Keep your workstation clean, safe, and production‑ready
- Communicate with set‑up, foreman, and other shifts
Skills and Experience
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Swiss‑style CNC machines or apprenticeship completion
- Ability to call up programs and adjust offsets
- Strong math, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Blueprint/GD&T reading ability
- Skilled with precision measuring tools
- Consistent, high‑accuracy workmanship
Physical Requirements
- Visual acuity for detailed inspection
- Manual dexterity for precision machining
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and stoop throughout shift
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly
