Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fabric Cutter to cut canvas, vinyl, and similar shade materials by hand using shears (scissors). The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent measuring skills, and the ability to interpret drawings and follow specifications accurately.
Job Responsibilities
- Cut canvas, vinyl, and other shade materials by hand using shears.
- Read and interpret drawings and cutting specifications.
- Accurately read and use a measuring tape.
- Apply basic geometry skills to ensure precise cuts and measurements.
- Maintain accuracy and quality throughout the cutting process.
- Follow workplace safety guidelines and production standards.
Skills and Experience
- Previous fabric cutting experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Strong measuring and basic geometry skills.
- Ability to stand on concrete for the majority of the workday.
- Comfortable working in both hot and cold temperatures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay Range: $20.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience.
