Assembly Worker

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare work by reviewing assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists and
gathering required parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates, drawings, and measurements.
• Assemble components and subassemblies and check connections for correct fit.
• Verify completed components against specifications using appropriate measuring tools.
• Identify assembly problems and notify the Production Supervisor when additional resources or
direction are needed.
• Keep equipment operational by following preventive maintenance requirements and reporting
malfunctions or repair needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow company procedures, rules, and safety
requirements.
• Monitor supplies and report material or supply needs.
• Use equipment, tools, materials, and supplies responsibly.
• Complete required production and quality forms.
• Support team production goals and assist with related production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in manufacturing or the sheet metal industry preferred.
• Experience using hand tools and basic production equipment.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure and caliper.
• Basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Physical Requirements
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the workday.
• Lift and move materials and finished components as required for production.
• Use hand tools, measuring tools, and production equipment safely.

• Work in a manufacturing environment around machinery, material handling equipment, and
production activity.
Preferred Skills
• Experience reading blueprints, assembly instructions, and parts lists.
• Experience in sheet metal assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• CDL preferred.

A successful Assembly Worker:
• Completes assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and specifications.
• Produces accurate work and checks completed components.
• Keeps tools, equipment, and the work area clean and safe.
• Completes required production and quality documentation.
• Works well with the Production Supervisor and other production employees.
• Takes ownership of assigned assembly work and supports daily production goals.
