Maintenance Clerk – Full‑Time / Hourly
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
🛠️ Job Overview
The Maintenance Clerk provides administrative and operational support to the Maintenance Department through inventory control, purchasing coordination, preventive maintenance administration, service scheduling, and facility support activities.
📌 Key Duties
- Maintenance Parts Ordering — Order maintenance parts, supplies, and materials as required.
- Supplier Coordination — Obtain quotations, pricing, and follow up on orders and deliveries.
- Purchasing Administration — Create purchase requisitions and coordinate procurement activities.
- Receiving & Inspection — Receive, inspect, and verify incoming maintenance parts and supplies.
- Inventory Management — Maintain organized storage locations, perform cycle counts, track inventory, and report discrepancies.
- Preventive Maintenance Records — Log and maintain PM paperwork and maintenance records.
- PM Scheduling Support — Track and assist with preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Downtime Tracking — Record equipment downtime information.
- Service Provider Coordination — Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled service providers.
- Administrative Support — Support general maintenance administrative functions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
🎯 Skills & Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with inventory tracking, purchasing, and recordkeeping preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Team‑oriented mindset
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
💪 Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (heavier loads with assistance)
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and machinery exposure
