MIG/TIG Welder & Fabricator

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise TIG welding on aluminum materials to produce strong, high-quality, and aesthetically clean welds. This role involves preparing materials, setting welding parameters, inspecting weld quality, and maintaining accurate production documentation in and ERP, while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

  • Perform TIG welding on aluminum materials, applying precise heat control and appropriate filler metal to produce strong, aesthetically appealing welds
  • Clean and prepare aluminum surfaces prior to welding, removing contaminants or impurities that could compromise weld quality
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate TIG torch, gas flow, and amperage based on material thickness and type
  • Work with various joint configurations, including butt joints, lap joints, and fillet welds, per project specifications
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Weld small and large components, including steel tubing, aluminum, and stainless steel

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in primarily TIG welding and MIG welding
  • Proficiency in TIG welding techniques, particularly on aluminum, producing high-quality welds with minimal defects
  • Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with different grades and types of aluminum and their corresponding welding requirements
  • Minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
