Overview
We are currently seeking entry-level Injection Mold Operators for a company located in Alexander City. An entry-level injection mold operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring plastic molding machines. They are also tasked with inspecting finished parts for defects, trimming excess material, and packaging items securely.
Work Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- Second shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
- Third shift: 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM
Starting Compensation: $13.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery: Safely start, stop, and monitor plastic injection presses.
- Quality inspection: Examine molded products for visual defects, cracks, or warping.
- Finishing: Trim or clip excess plastic (gates/flashing) from finished parts.
- Packaging: Weigh, label, and box completed products with accuracy.
- Issue reporting: Immediately notify supervisors of any machine malfunctions or increases in scrap rates.
- Workspace maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of tripping hazards.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary; familiarity with manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail: Ability to identify small product flaws and monitor cycle times.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and a safety-conscious attitude.
