We are currently seeking an Inventory Associate who will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and performing regular inventory counts. This role ensures inventory accuracy to support efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts and verification of material movement
- Enter data for quantities of parts issued, transferred, relocated, inventory cycle counts, and adjustments in data bases or spreadsheets
- Conduct system and document audits of various material movement processes
- Provide physical inventory movement, as necessary
- Track and analyze various related inventory issues or problems
- Reconcile inventory, movement, or misplacement
- Conduct and provide inventory issues or problems
- Estimate reserves for slow or obsolete inventory
- Assist during inventory related external audits
- Conduct accurate cycle count of inventory locations per handheld device in the warehouse and make system updates as required
- Reach and resolve inventory variances
- Validate the date of products in the warehouse and update as required
- Audit and correct inbound receiving paperwork
- Respond to internal buyer requests for item checks in the warehouse
- Coordinate the handling of obsolete and at-risk inventory (vendor returns, donations, recalls, expired products) to include identifying, communicating, adjusting, and validating products
Skills and Experience
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years’ experience in inventory or warehousing
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks, including forkliftsand cherry pickers
- Ability to work at elevated heights using lift equipment
- Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft D365 a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
Working Conditions
- Must be able to transport up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders to access inventory at various levels
- Must be able to perform duties in ambient warehouse conditions, which may include exposure to hazardous materials, loud noise, or extreme heat/cold
- Must have the ability to walk or move continuously for up to 8 hours during shifts
