Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Clerk to support second-shift warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This position combines forklift operation, material handling, inventory movement, warehouse systems, and general operational support.
Shift:
Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM | Must be available for overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift and other approved material-handling equipment.
- Pick, stage, replenish, load, unload, and move products throughout the warehouse.
- Complete inventory moves and place products in designated storage locations.
- Use RF scanners, handheld devices, and warehouse management systems to receive and update assignments.
- Verify orders, products, quantities, and warehouse documentation for accuracy.
- Prioritize assignments to help maintain productivity and prevent operational delays.
- Monitor order flow and provide accurate status updates to warehouse supervision.
- Identify inventory, system, safety, or workflow issues and report them promptly.
- Maintain awareness of forklifts, pedestrian traffic, products, and other warehouse hazards.
- Communicate professionally with drivers, supervisors, coworkers, and customer representatives.
- Assist with process changes, system testing, training, and continuous-improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, or transportation experience is preferred.
- Previous forklift experience is required.
- Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and safety.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and productive during high-volume periods.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn new warehouse systems, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when business needs require it.
