Overview
The Building & Grounds Helper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of the warehouse facility and surrounding grounds. This role supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring the environment is clean, organized, and safe for all employees and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning of warehouse areas, breakrooms, offices, and restrooms
- Assist with trash removal, recycling, and cardboard disposal
- Maintain exterior grounds including sweeping, picking up debris, mowing lawns, and weed eating
- Support light maintenance tasks as needed (such as replacing lights or minor repairs)
- Help maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment
- Assist warehouse staff with general labor tasks when required
- Work in cold environments and outdoor conditions as needed
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Skills and Experience
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse distribution center
- Work may include indoor, outdoor, and cold storage environments
- Requires walking, standing, bending, lifting, and physical activity throughout the shift
Ideal Candidate:
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather and temperature conditions
- Willingness to assist in multiple areas as needed
- Prior warehouse, landscaping, or maintenance experience is a plus
