Overview
Job duties of the safety coordinator is to carry out the day to day operation of the safety department; contribute to training and inspection activities, application of OSHA and Department of Transportation regulations, and assisting with first aid.
Skills and Experience
Conduct periodic safety meetings/trainings and schedule as needed. Write, implement, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures. Perform daily facility inspections. Ability to evaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE. Have knowledge and enforce compliance of regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, DOT, USDA, etc.). Assist in emergency response and provide first aid treatment.
