Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and complete repairs
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Conduct inspections of systems, equipment, and facilities
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Install, assemble, and test new equipment as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Work with production/management teams to support operations
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Skills and Experience
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise)
- Work Environment:
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting
- May require overtime, weekends, or on-call availability
