Overview
We are seeking a Diagnostics Repair Technician to support the assembly, testing and packaging of computer server hardware in a high-volume technology manufacturing environment. This role also focuses on performing diagnostics and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software applications while performing and assisting the repair process, identifying root causes, and ensuring repaired units meet quality specifications before returning to production. Also responsible for documenting issues and reporting potential quality related problems to Quality Management. This position requires hands-on technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting. This position covers 2nd and 3rd shifts. Pay ranges from $23.50–$29.00/hr. (depending on shift and level of experience)
Daily Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics and testing of servers and components to identify hardware or software issues
- Repair, replace, or escalate faulty server parts according to work instructions
- Disassemble and reassemble servers as required
- Use hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions , and safety guidelines
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S principles - Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts
Skills and Experience
- Hands-on technical experience: 6+ months in server, PC, networking, or electronics repair, diagnostics, or troubleshooting
- Production/Technical environment: Experience in manufacturing or technical repair with daily or weekly output and quality goals
- Diagnostics & problem-solving: Ability to distinguish hardware vs. software issues, identify defects, and escalate appropriately
- Tools & equipment: Skilled with hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic tools
- Attention to detail & quality: Strong focus on completing repairs correctly and inspecting products to meet specifications
- Process adherence: Comfortable following SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures
- Teamwork & adaptability: Able to collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams in a fast-paced environment
- Physical requirements: Able to stand, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, and work on cement floors for extended periods; good visual and color perception
- Soft skills: Self-motivated, adaptable, able to manage multiple tasks, and flexible with changing priorities
- High School Diploma/GED and Updated Resume
