Overview
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring plastic injection molding machines during 3rd shift production. This position ensures product quality, maintains safety standards, and supports efficient manufacturing operations.
Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
- Operate plastic injection molding machines safely and efficiently
- Perform machine setup and minor adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Trim, assemble, and package plastic parts
- Monitor machines for malfunctions or production issues
- Report equipment problems to supervisors or maintenance personnel
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow company safety procedures and production guidelines
- Complete production reports and documentation
- Lift materials, boxes, or parts as required
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30–50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and quality inspection skills
- Ability to work overnight shifts and overtime if needed
- Basic mechanical skills preferred
