Overview
The Warehouse Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment while supporting daily operations through the safe use of pallet jacks to move materials, pallets, and waste. This position ensures work areas remain free of debris, hazards, and clutter to promote workplace safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain warehouse floors, aisles, docks, breakrooms, and restrooms
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and remove trash, debris, and spills throughout the facility
- Safely operate a manual or electric pallet jack to move pallets, supplies, trash bins, and materials
- Dispose of waste and recyclables in designated areas
- Maintain organization of pallet storage and work areas
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
- Restock cleaning supplies and report inventory shortages
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, and pull throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures
Skills and Experience
Experience Requirements:
- Previous warehouse cleaning, janitorial, sanitation, or general labor experience preferred
- Prior experience operating a manual or electric pallet jack required
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Experience maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic work areas is a plus
