Overview
We are seeking a skilled TIG/MIG Welder on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have experience performing high-quality precision welding using both TIG and MIG processes on a variety of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical ability, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on various materials according to specifications and blueprints
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols
- Set up and operate TIG and MIG welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements
- Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and fitting components prior to welding
- Select appropriate welding techniques, materials, and settings for each job
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition
- Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with team members, fabricators, and supervisors to complete projects on time
- Document work progress and report any issues or defects
Skills and Experience
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a TIG and MIG Welder (3-5 years of experience)
- Proficiency in welding stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding certification (e.g., AWS or equivalent)
- Experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with additional welding techniques (Stick welding a plus)
- Basic math and measurement skills
