Overview
Position Summary
The Material Handler supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, moving, storing, and shipping materials. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, inventory control, and a safe, organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, sort, stage, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Verify items, quantities, and labels against documentation; audit shipments for accuracy.
- Ensure all orders are processed and shipped according to customer requirements.
- Report product damage and inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Support shipping activities, including selecting methods, preparing documentation, and coordinating domestic and international shipments.
- Consolidate, palletize, and load materials efficiently and safely.
- Use handheld scanners for inventory transactions.
- Maintain 5S standards and follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and provide timely updates.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of forklift experience; certification preferred (in-house available).
- Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a safety-first mindset in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
Warehouse setting with moderate noise and high forklift traffic.
Exposure to varying temperatures, including heat, cold, and humidity.
