Overview
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable Die Shop Technician to bend and insert steel rule to produce steel rule cutting dies. This position works under the supervision of the Die Shop Supervisor and plays a key role in maintaining quality and production standards.
Responsibilities:
- Bend and insert steel rule according to specifications
- Read and understand customer specifications
- Follow industry standards and techniques
- Understand and apply rubbering requirements
- Perform die revisions and repairs
- Identify and report nonconforming products
- Communicate issues to supervisor and assist with problem-solving
- Help maintain quality standards and safe work environment
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Basic shop knowledge or coursework
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in corrugated or manufacturing industry
- Drafting knowledge or experience
- Advanced shop classes or technical training
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Frequent walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Repetitive hand motions
- Good vision and hearing for detailed work
