Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse and production operations at our Sandston, VA facility. The Team Lead will supervise staff, maintain productivity and quality standards, and ensure safety protocols are followed. This role serves as a key liaison between management and team members, providing leadership, coaching, and operational support in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of warehouse and production associates
- Assign and monitor daily tasks, ensuring productivity and quality goals are met
- Train new hires and cross-train existing employees
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Conduct quality checks and address issues promptly
- Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and reporting
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- Communicate operational updates and escalate issues to management
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution operations
- Minimum of 1 year in a leadership, supervisory, or team lead role
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and operational procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, scheduling, or inventory software)
- Experience operating stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery
- Machine operator experience
