Overview
Onin Staffing is currently seeking a Powder Coater / Industrial Painter for a manufacturing facility in Madison, Alabama. This position is responsible for preparing metal surfaces and applying powder coating to ensure a durable, high-quality finish that meets production and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting or powder coating and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, or blasting prior to coating.
- Apply powder coating to steel components such as jail cell doors, bars, panels, and frames.
- Operate powder coating equipment and curing ovens.
- Inspect finished products to ensure proper coating thickness, finish quality, and coverage.
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with handling and moving metal components as needed.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting, or metal finishing preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
