Overview
Our leading national manufacturer client in the construction materials industry is expanding its 3rd Shift team and looking for dependable Machine Operators who take pride in producing high‑quality work. If you enjoy hands‑on tasks, learning new equipment, and being part of a team that keeps essential building products moving, this role is a strong fit.
What You’ll Do
• Set up and operate one primary machine (Shear, Turret, Brake Press, Robotic Cell, Cut‑to‑Length, Roll Forming/Seaming, Press Lock, etc.).
• Follow work orders and document material notes.
• Assist with additional machinery and end‑of‑line packaging.
• Perform quality checks using gauges, tapes, and rulers.
• Mount and adjust slitter knives and related components.
• Keep work areas clean and follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout.
Skills and Experience
What You Need
• At least 18 years old with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of manufacturing or machine‑operation experience.
• Ability to operate or learn sit‑down forklifts (training provided).
• Basic math, computer, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
Work Environment
• Fast‑paced manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Standing, bending, and working around mechanical parts and pinch points.
