Overview
Ōnin Staffing is recruiting Fabrication Trainees for a steel manufacturing company in Nashville, NC. This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity where you’ll learn valuable trade skills with the potential for long-term growth. Perfect for candidates with prior machine operating experience, strong measuring skills, and a willingness to learn. Experience with forklifts or heavy machinery is a plus!
- $16.50/hour + overtime opportunities
- 1st shift - Monday-Friday 6am-5:30pm
- 2nd shift - Monday-Friday 5pm-3:30am
- Temp-to-hire with growth potential
- On-the-job training in grinding, welding, sanding, CNC, press brakes, and painting
- Work alongside skilled welders, operators, and industrial painters
What You’ll Learn & Do:
- Use hand tools and measuring tapes for daily tasks
- Operate fabrication equipment including drills, grinders, press brakes, blasters, and paint spray tools
- Learn the basics of welding, fitting, and CNC machine operation
- Support skilled tradespeople in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For:
- Willingness and desire to learn new skills
- Ability to read a tape measure and solve basic math problems
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment (hot summers, cold winters)
- Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to safety and ability to follow all protocols
Requirements:
- Must wear 8” steel-toe boots with metatarsal covers (all other PPE provided)
- Forklift or heavy equipment experience a plus
