Overview
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and dependable individual to join our team as a Kitchen Associate. This position is responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations, preparing food, maintaining quality and presentation standards, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organized.
The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities include assisting with food preparation, following recipes and menu instructions, maintaining food safety standards, and helping ensure kitchen operations run smoothly. The individual must be willing to learn, follow instructions, and adapt to the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Follow recipes, preparation instructions, and updated menu guidelines.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Assist with ordering kitchen supplies, ingredients, and food items.
- Prepare and organize ingredients for daily food service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and communicate when items need to be reordered.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
- Adjust priorities based on daily business needs.
Skills and Experience
ServSafe certification required.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to safely use a step stool or ladder.
Basic math skills, including measurements and unit conversions.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Strong organization and multitasking skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
Must be able to speak and understand English.
Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
