Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Welder to join a manufacturing team in Wolfforth, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience with welding techniques, reading mechanical drawings, and working with various metals. This position involves preparing, welding, and finishing products according to customer specifications and technical drawings.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform welding and weld preparation according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Work with wire and filler materials for various steel alloys, aluminum, and other metals.
- Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters, including amps and volts.
- Use conventional and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform quality inspections and maintain required documentation.
- Maintain and perform basic upkeep on welding equipment.
- Complete finish grinding using manual and power tools.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of related welding experience or equivalent training.
- Welding certifications required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical instructions.
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the facility.
- Ability to operate or work around overhead cranes.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.
Schedule & Compensation
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Full-time position with weekly overtime
