What You'll Do as an Experienced Mechanical Assembler:
- Assemble complex mechanical equipment, including heavy stainless-steel components, using blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, hoists, and other shop equipment to fit, align, secure, and assemble mechanical components.
- Fit piping and structural components to precise measurements while maintaining proper alignment and quality standards.
- Independently troubleshoot assembly challenges, make adjustments, and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Inspect finished assemblies for accuracy, workmanship, and quality; identify and correct defects as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while meeting production expectations.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, automotive, industrial maintenance, or a related mechanical field.
- Proven ability to assemble complex equipment and understand how mechanical components work together.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, measurements, and assembly instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and industrial shop equipment; stainless-steel fabrication knowledge is a plus.
- Confidence completing detailed mechanical assemblies accurately with minimal training or supervision.
- Basic electrical understanding, troubleshooting abilities, and strong attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift 50+ pounds, and safely perform hands-on assembly work.
