Overview

The Warehouse Associate / Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for performing daily warehouse operations while maintaining accurate records of inventory, shipments, and received materials. This position requires a combination of hands-on warehouse work, computer skills, and data entry experience to ensure inventory information is entered correctly and warehouse activities run efficiently.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming shipments and materials.
  • Verify quantities, product descriptions, item numbers, and other information against invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders.
  • Enter and update inventory information, shipment details, and receiving records into computer systems and company databases.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records of inventory movements, incoming shipments, outgoing orders, and warehouse transactions.
  • Review data for accuracy, identify missing or incorrect information, and make corrections as needed.
  • Prepare, organize, file, and maintain shipping documents, receiving paperwork, inventory reports, and other warehouse records.
  • Assist with picking, packing, labeling, sorting, and preparing materials for shipment.
  • Track inventory levels and report discrepancies, damaged products, missing items, or incorrect shipments to the appropriate personnel.
  • Use computers and warehouse management systems to locate products, verify stock information, and update order statuses.
  • Communicate with warehouse staff and other departments to resolve inventory or documentation issues.
  • Keep the warehouse, storage areas, and workstations clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain confidentiality when handling business records and company information.
  • Perform additional warehouse and administrative duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping and receiving, or data entry experience preferred.
Basic to intermediate computer skills, including the ability to enter, update, and retrieve information accurately.
Strong typing skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and understand shipping documents, invoices, packing slips, and inventory records.
Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift materials as required for warehouse duties.
Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to accuracy and workplace safety.
