Overview
Description
A welder set-up & operator will utilize welding equipment by applying welds per drawing specifications to product components. Must be able to work with welding standards and specifications, create various jigs, program and re-program numerous metal components made from various gauges of stainless steel to produce metal welded assembly parts. Must measure dimensions of production parts using calipers,
micrometers, and templates to ensure conformance with quality standards.
Skills and Experience
Previous welding experience preferred (1 Year minimum)
Positioned parts to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Followed layouts, work orders, blueprints, and schematics end sketches to ensure accurate positioning and assembly. Ability to interpret documents and drawings Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems Be able to lift up to 25 lbs. routinely Must be able to interpret welding symbols per AWS
