Overview

 The Kitchen Associate plays a critical role in the daily preparation, staging, and processing of raw materials at our chili production facility. Working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment, this role is responsible for loading semi-automated equipment, maintaining precise quality and inventory standards, and ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Production & Machine Operations: Load and stage raw materials into semi-automated processing machines. Operate equipment safely and move at a fast pace to meet production goals.

  • Material Handling & Packaging: Unpack raw products from boxes, break down corrugated containers, palletize finished goods, and shrink-wrap pallets for transport.

  • Quality Control & Inspection: Inspect and verify raw and finished products to ensure zero damaged or defective goods enter the supply line.

  • Documentation & Inventory: Complete daily production logs, batch records, and quality paperwork accurately. Conduct regular physical inventory counts to maintain accurate material consumption tracking.

  • Safety & Compliance: Complete and adhere to all mandatory safety and quality training, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

  • Communication & Sanitation: Keep work stations and general facility areas clean and sanitized. Report any operational issues, safety risks, or product defects immediately to the Lead or Supervisor.

Skills and Experience

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Physical Stamina: Requires continuous, heavy, and repetitive pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting.

  • Work Environment: Performs duties in a HOT environment that is not temperature-controlled.

  • Pace: Must be able to sustain a fast-paced work tempo throughout the shift.
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or food processing environment preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, and complete basic mathematical counts for inventory and documentation.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Commitment to maintaining strict workplace safety and food quality standards.
