Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Saw Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating industrial saws and cutting metal materials in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial saws to accurately cut metal materials according to specifications.
- Set up and safely operate various types of saws and metal shearing equipment.
- Inspect materials and finished cuts to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Read and follow work orders, measurements, and production specifications.
- Properly handle and position metal materials for cutting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
- When saw work is not available, assist in other areas of the shop as needed, including operating bending machines, cut-thread machines, and other production equipment.
- Perform additional production duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience operating industrial saws is preferred.
Experience operating different types of saws and/or metal shearing machines.
Experience cutting and working with metal materials.
Experience with industrial saw brands such as DoALL, Behringer, or similar equipment is a plus.
Ability to read measurements and follow production specifications.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas of the shop when needed.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
