Overview

The Seat Assembler is responsible for assembling vehicle seats and related components according to production specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This position requires attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Skills and Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble vehicle seats and seat components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
  • Install cushions, covers, frames, brackets, wiring, and other seat components.
  • Follow work instructions, production drawings, and established assembly procedures.
  • Inspect completed seats for proper fit, function, appearance, and quality.
  • Identify and report defective materials or assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Work cooperatively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel.
  • Perform other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements.
  • May require lifting, pushing, and pulling materials and assembled components.
  • Must follow required personal protective equipment (PPE) and workplace safety procedures.
