What You’ll Do as a Machine Operator | Slitter:
- Operate slitter and other production equipment to process foam to customer specifications.
- Operate cranes and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Load scrap foam onto a conveyor for processing.
- Operate the baler during downtime and changeovers.
- Follow FIFO procedures to keep materials organized.
- Complete production records, batch information, and basic computer data entry.
- Inspect materials and products to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Cross-train on other equipment and production processes.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Manufacturing/production experience preferred
- Machine operation experience preferred
- Ability to follow work instructions and production requirements
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Strong safety and quality awareness
- Reliable work history and attendance
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to cross-train and work as part of a team
