What You’ll Do as a Production Welder:

Weld metal components in horizontal and vertical positions
Set up and operate GMAW pulse welding equipment
Position, align, clamp, and tack-weld parts before completing final welds
Use grinders, torches, hand tools, and power tools to prepare and finish components
Monitor heat and welding conditions to prevent warping, distortion, or damage
Inspect completed welds and identify defects or quality concerns
Measure parts using rulers, calipers, squares, straightedges, and templates
Read blueprints, specifications, and welding symbols
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
Wear all required PPE and follow established safety procedures

Skills and Experience

What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:

Previous production or structural welding experience
Experience with GMAW pulse welding
Ability to weld in the 2G horizontal position
Knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols
Experience using welding tools, grinders, torches, and measuring instruments
Ability to complete a written welding and blueprint-reading assessment
Ability to pass the company’s welding certification test
AWS welding certification is preferred
High school diploma or GED from an accredited school
Ability to work around heat, cold, elevated areas, hazardous equipment, and changing environmental conditions
Ability to wear steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, welding helmet, gloves, and protective welding clothing (ask about our footwear discount options)
