What You’ll Do as a Production Welder:
  • Weld metal components in horizontal and vertical positions
  • Set up and operate GMAW pulse welding equipment
  • Position, align, clamp, and tack-weld parts before completing final welds
  • Use grinders, torches, hand tools, and power tools to prepare and finish components
  • Monitor heat and welding conditions to prevent warping, distortion, or damage
  • Inspect completed welds and identify defects or quality concerns
  • Measure parts using rulers, calipers, squares, straightedges, and templates
  • Read blueprints, specifications, and welding symbols
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
  • Wear all required PPE and follow established safety procedures

Skills and Experience

What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
  • Previous production or structural welding experience
  • Experience with GMAW pulse welding
  • Ability to weld in the 2G horizontal position
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols
  • Experience using welding tools, grinders, torches, and measuring instruments
  • Ability to complete a written welding and blueprint-reading assessment
  • Ability to pass the company’s welding certification test
  • AWS welding certification is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited school
  • Ability to work around heat, cold, elevated areas, hazardous equipment, and changing environmental conditions
  • Ability to wear steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, welding helmet, gloves, and protective welding clothing (ask about our footwear discount options)
