Full job description
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating outbound and inbound warehouse activities in a high-volume environment. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Coordinator, the Supervisor will lead a team of associates to ensure daily operations are completed accurately and efficiently while maintaining company, customer, and safety standards.
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
- Salary: $55,000 per year
- Schedule: Must be available to work 1st or 2nd shift
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience: Leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily inbound and outbound warehouse activities.
- Lead, train, and support warehouse associates to meet productivity and quality goals.
- Ensure orders and warehouse tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and safety standards.
- Monitor workflow and address operational issues as they arise.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Opportunity: This is a temp-to-hire position, providing the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Skills and Experience
Team Leadership: Manage large teams, including warehouse associates, cycle counters, customer service representatives, leads, and dispatchers, while ensuring daily goals and KPIs are met.
Inventory & Orders: Ensure accurate inventory, picking, storage, and timely order fulfillment.
Material Flow: Oversee receiving, storage, and movement of materials throughout the plant.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure safety procedures are followed, including proper forklift operation and plant policies.
Process Improvement: Identify ways to improve processes, reduce inefficiencies, and support operational goals.
Audits & Coordination: Support internal and external audits and work closely with other departments and management.
Experience: 3+ years of warehouse or materials management experience, preferably in automotive, with strong team leadership skills.
