Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Layout Technician Lead to join our client's production team. This role is responsible for leading and supporting the layout and mechanical assembly of electrical back panels and enclosures used in industrial automation and control systems.

What You'll Do as a Layout Technician Lead:
- Lead and support Layout Technicians in the mechanical layout and assembly of electrical back panels and enclosures
- Coordinate daily workflow and help keep projects moving according to production priorities
- Read and interpret layout drawings, blueprints, engineering documentation, and bills of materials (BOM)
- Identify and correct layout or assembly issues before panels are released to the wiring department
- Reinforce safety, quality, organization, and workmanship standards
- Communicate production concerns, material shortages, drawing discrepancies, and project issues to management
Skills and Experience
Preferred Candidate Will Have:
- Previous lead or team lead experience in an automation, controls, electrical panel, or similar manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of recent electrical panel layout, mechanical assembly, control panel, or industrial automation experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and engineering documentation
- Experience working with electrical back panels, enclosures, DIN rail, wire duct, and automation/control panel components
- Ability to accurately work from bills of materials (BOM)
- Experience using drills, measuring tools, hand tools, and other equipment required for panel fabrication and assembly
- Ability to provide direction, answer technical questions, and support the development of other team members
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Dependable attendance and the ability to lead by example in a production environment
