Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience is highly important for this position. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and understand how equipment operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates with experience working around conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, packaging equipment, or other industrial machinery are strongly preferred.
The ability to identify the cause of equipment failures—not just replace parts—is important. The mechanic needs to be comfortable working independently, responding to breakdowns, and completing preventive maintenance before problems affect production.
The ideal candidate will have previous industrial maintenance or plant maintenance experience, strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of OSHA safety requirements. Experience in a food, beverage, manufacturing, bottling, packaging, or production environment is especially valuable.
The successful candidate should be dependable, safety-conscious, mechanically skilled, comfortable working around production equipment, and able to respond quickly when equipment issues arise. Experience matters because this position directly impacts production uptime, employee safety, equipment reliability, and product quality.
