1st Shift Mon-Fri 7am-3pm - $16/hr
2nd Shift Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm - $16.25/hr
3rd Shift Mon-Fri 11pm-7am - $16.50/hr
ALL SHIFT REQUIRE OVERTIME AVAILABILITY INCLUDING WEEKENDS (SATURDAY & SUNDAY)
MACHINE OPERATOR JOB SUMMARY:
The Operator’s responsibilities include the set-up, operation, and changeover of profile extrusion lines
and related equipment, including fabrication tools.
DUTIES:
1. Set up and maintain production lines, ensuring process control throughout the production run.
2. Maintain production schedules as assigned by supervisor.
3. Relieve and assist packers when necessary.
4. Perform inspection, process checks, maintenance, and related documentation, when required.
5. Protect and maintain production tooling and complete related equipment at set up, during production and post production (line take-down).
6. Strive for or maintain, quality and efficiency levels targeted by management.
7. Adhere to all required safety guidelines, report hazards/violations and follow LOTO procedures.
8. Maintain good housekeeping for those lines overseeing.
9. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non conformities relating to product process and quality ystems.
10. Identify and record any problems relating to the product, the process and quality system.
11. Initiate and recommend solutions.
12. Ensure all accidents and injuries are reported immediately.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong understanding of the operations process.
2. Understanding of how the operator’s role impacts the mission of the organization.
3. Strong safety aptitude and standards.
4. Team player
5. Effective Communication skills
6. 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
7. Strong problem-solving skills.
8. Understanding of IATF 16949, EMS and Quality Management Systems Awareness requirements pertaining to the role.
9. Knowledge of industry standards relating to quality and safety regulations.
10. Understanding of process instruction, control plans, problem solving techniques and SPC.
11. Motor Coordination
12. GED or High School Diploma
13. Basic Math, Reading, and inventory control aptitude required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Be able to remain on your feet for the entire shift.
2. Lift, carry, push and pull with requirements that can range from 25 to 50 lbs.
3. Physical stamina and endurance to perform the job well.
4. Strong body movement, with lower back and core strength.
5. Move materials without issues or damage to self and property.
6. Must be able to reach pull, and push objects.
