Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at a busy medical mall. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and fully operational for tenants, patients, and visitors.
Candidates with apartment maintenance or handyman experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
- Complete drywall repairs, painting, and patchwork as needed.
- Install, repair, and replace tile and carpet.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and management.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on the property.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
- Assist with other maintenance-related projects as assigned.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Previous general maintenance or handyman experience is required.
- Apartment maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with:
- Drywall repair
- Painting
- Tile installation and repair
- Carpet repair/replacement
- General building maintenance and repairs
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (flexible start time)
- One weekend per month on-call for maintenance emergencies (emergencies are infrequent).
