What You’ll Do as a Maintenance Technician:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on automated food production and packaging machinery.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) inspections to optimize machine efficiency and minimize unexpected operational downtime.
- Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns on the production floor, safely restoring functionality to keep lines running smoothly.
- Strictly adhere to food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and facility safety protocols to prevent product contamination.
- Document all completed work orders, parts inventory usage, and repairs within the plant’s maintenance tracking system.
- Partner with production operators and shift leads to identify equipment issues and test machinery after repairs are completed.
Skills and Experience
What you'll bring as a preferred candidate:
- At least 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (experience in food/beverage or consumer packaged goods manufacturing is highly valued).
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read schematics and work with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, and pumps.
- A basic understanding of or exposure to PLCs and automated controls is a plus.
- Familiarity with GMP guidelines and standard workplace safety procedures (OSHA).
- A reliable, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or trade school training is preferred.
