What you will do as a Fabrication Trainee:
- Fabrication Trainees are entry-level, hands-on employees with a desire to learn a trade and build a career in an established industry.
- Trainees work closely with skilled welders, machine operators, and experienced industrial painters to acquire valuable skills.
- Day-to-day duties involve the use of hand tools and measuring tapes.
- Trainees learn to operate various fabrication equipment, including drills, grinders, press brakes, blasters, and paint spray processes.
- They also have opportunities to learn the basics of welding and fitting, as well as the operation of CNC equipment.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Desire to learn and grow with an industry leader.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Hot in the summer & cold in the winter
- Ability to solve basic math problems and read tape measure. MUST PASS MEASURING TEST DONE IN THE OFFICE.
- Ability to stand and walk for 11+ hours with intervals of stooping, squatting, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling.
- Manual dexterity to work with various hand tools.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a team environment and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
