Overview
JOB SUMMARY: The Receiver works in the warehouse and is responsible for receiving incoming materials from several manufacturers and putting them away. Duties: • Unload product from delivery truck • Receive materials and components into shop management software • Monitor receiving requirements via shop management software • Maintain inventory in an organized manner and perform cycle counts per system requirements • Operating a forklift safely and efficiently and being able to handle heavy and awkward loads • Physically sorting through various products in order to remove defective material • Maintains a clean work area, free from debris on warehouse floor • Assists in other areas as needed
Skills and Experience
Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED preferred • 1 – 2 years related experience • Basic math and organization skills • Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. or more • Detail-oriented mindset • Strong data entry and computer skills • Forklift certification and experience with pallet jacks required • Ability to work on feet for long hours • Team Player and willingness to help in other areas • Excellent communication skills • Understanding of safety protocols and requirements Work Environment Warehouse environment; will also enter a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, loud noises, dust and extreme temperatures, as well as customer sites; PPE required in manufacturing (i.e. safety glasses). Standing and/or walking for the duration of shift (at lease 8-10 hours per day). Able to lift 75lbs. on a regular basis throughout the shift.
- Equipment Operation: Must be able to safely and efficiently operate a forklift and pallet jacks, especially when handling heavy or awkward loads.
- Technical/Computer Skills: Strong data entry skills and the ability to comfortably navigate shop management software to monitor receiving requirements.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills for inventory tracking and performing accurate cycle counts.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts (8–10 hours) and regularly lift and carry 75 lbs. or more.
- Quality Control & Organization: A detail-oriented mindset to physically sort through products, identify/remove defective materials, and keep the warehouse clean and organized.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a team-player attitude, and a willingness to assist in other warehouse departments as needed.
🏗️ Experience Required
- Industry Experience: 1 to 2 years of related warehouse or receiving experience.
- Certifications: Active forklift certification is required.
🎓 Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED is preferred (but not strictly required).
- Safety Adherence: A solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols and a willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like safety glasses.

- Based primarily in a warehouse, with regular entry into a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to machinery, loud noises, dust, and extreme temperatures, as well as occasional visits to customer sites.
