What You'll Do as a Machinist:
  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related machining equipment to produce precision components
  • Program, edit, and optimize machine controls to support efficient production runs
  • Prepare and stage raw materials for machining processes
  • Install tooling, adjust machine offsets, and perform equipment changeovers
  • Verify part dimensions and quality using precision measurement tools
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Support material preparation activities using saws and fabrication equipment
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality and engineering standards
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve processes and resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

Skills and Experience

What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
  • Previous experience operating CNC mills and lathes in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
  • Knowledge of G-code programming, editing, and troubleshooting
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to perform machine setups, tooling adjustments, and equipment maintenance
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical training, machining certifications, or vocational education preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in a manufacturing setting
